United Ireland

Royal Irish
A United Ireland

Like many Irishmen (though for very different reasons) we, The Irish Unionist Party seek a United Ireland. If Unionism ever became a viable political option in Southern Ireland then we fail to see a reason that Northern Unionist would have for rejecting a proposal that would unite our divided island as a part of the United Kingdom.

Regional Autonomy
In the event of Ireland becoming part of the United Kingdom the Irish Unionist Party would ensure that a United Ireland, like Wales, Scotland and the Present province of Northern Ireland would have a regional assembly similar to the current Welsh assembly.

Idealy the Irish Assembly would be able to deal with Education, Local Taxes, Transport and the ability to recommend legislation to the Westminster Parliament done through the MP's that would represent Ireland.
